Information About Acquiring a Pet SaraJen Pet Maine Coon Kitten
General:
- SaraJen Maine Coon kittens may go to their new homes after they are 12 weeks old.
- All SaraJen Maine Coon kittens will have been given appropriate inoculations prior to leaving our home; they will have been dewormed; they will have been examined by our veterinarian of many years at Nova Cat Clinic in Arlington.
- All SaraJen Maine Coon kittens are placed with a written contract, including a health guarantee.
Terms for the Prospective Owner:
- The kitten must be indoor-only.
- The kitten/cat must never be bred, and must be neutered/spayed
(females ~ 8-9 months, males ~ 10-12 months). - The kitten may not be declawed, neither back nor front.
- The kitten must be fed a high-quality diet, high in meat (not fish) protein.
- The kitten must receive regular veterinary care, including appropriate
inoculations.
Pricing:
- All pet Maine Coon kittens are currently $2,500 (US)
- A Maine Coon kitten (current or future) may be reserved with a $200 deposit.
- Deposits are non-refundable and must be used to acquire a kitten from the current litters available or future litters (expected or planned).
- The deposit will only be refunded if we, for some reason, are not able to supply a kitten.
Visiting the Cattery:
SaraJen does not have ‘business hours’ and we are not available for drop-in visits. This is our home, for us people types and the furry ones.
If you have a serious interest in possibly obtaining a kitten from SaraJen we will be happy to work with you to arrange a mutually convenient time for you to visit. However, during this long period of Covid-19 infections we are limiting visits to those who are picking up kittens.
Information About Acquiring a SaraJen Retired Friend
General:
- SaraJen cats are already spayed/neutered and fully recovered prior to being listed on our website as available.
- SaraJen cats will have been given appropriate inoculations prior to leaving our home, including rabies; they will have been dewormed; they will be guaranteed to be feline leukemia free; they will have been examined by our veterinarian of many years at Nova Cat Clinic in Arlington.
- All SaraJen cats are placed with a written contract.

- The cat may not be declawed, neither back nor front.

- Special Needs adults are sometimes available at little or no cost.
